All classes have been learning about the importance of the ANZAC’s in New Zealand history, and why ANZAC day is such an important event for our country. 100 years ago in 1915 the ANZAC’s landed at Gallipoli during World War 1. Our Year 8 students orgnanised a commemorative ceremony for the whole school to attend, to mark this important event. We were incredibly proud of all of our students who showed great respect during the ceremony as they listened to tributes to our fallen soldiers and as representatives from each class laid wreaths that they had made under our memorial oak tree.
