3/4 Futsal team had their 1st game last week Player of The Day
was Oliver Hackett, for last week.
This
week Players of The Day Nathan Hill and Joshua Tikey
Congratulations
to Jack Oaten (Year 7 team), and Shaedon Miller (Year 5/6 team-), for making
the Dunedin Metro Representative Cricket teams.
The
Abbotsford Duathlon (Year 4) and Triathlon (Year 5-8) has been postponed to
Monday 27 February (cancellation Tuesday 28th February),
at
11-30pm.
Otago Primary School Swimming Championships thank
you to those parents/children who have shown an interest in this, entries
need to be in on the 11th March, so I do need times for those
children who said they do not need timed by me, by
8 March, along with the event they will swim in please.
All money, and events children are swimming in,
need to be into the office, in a named envelope, by
9-00am on Thursday 8 March please. ($3-00
per event)

LET'S
MAKE MUSIC
is a fun introduction to music for 5 - 7 year olds.
The
classes are run through Saturday Morning Music Classes. Level 1 is for 5 -
6 year olds and focusses on general music skills - beat, rhythm, music notes,
listening. Level 2 is for 6 - 7 year olds and children spend time learning
instruments - 2 terms on recorder and 1 term each on violin and chime bars. LMM
is run after school on Tuesdays (Mornington School), Wednesdays (Elmgrove
School), Thursdays (Tainui School) and on Saturday mornings at George Street

The
Childrens choir is starting again for 2012 --
THURSDAY,
February 23 at 4.00pm
Music
Suite of the College of Education
The
rehearsals will run from 4.00- 5.15pm each Thursday of the school term finishing
early December. The choir is
open to children aged 7 to 13. Children
and parents are welcome to come along to the first rehearsal to see if it suits
their expectations. No auditions are
required.
Repertoire:
A range of songs is performed during the year with the addition of
rhythmic accompaniments and other fun musical activities to develop overall
musicianship.
Regular
attendance and a commitment to attend arranged performances are expected.
Cost:
$50 per child per term ($200 for the choir year).
Children
are encouraged to enrol for the year to maximize vocal development, building of
repertoire, choral blend and balance of the choir.

Garage Sale

The
Abbotsford Kindergarten is seeking donations of unwanted pre-loved items to
include in our Garage Sale. These items could include: Toys, Outdoor Goods,
Clothing, Household Items, Sports Equipment, Books, Plants, Camping Gear, Bikes,
Furniture, Tools, Etc. etc. etc. All
donations must be in a good, clean condition.
(No broken items please.) Small
items can be dropped off at the Abbotsford Kindergarten in Neill St during
opening hours, or on Wednesday 28th or Thursday 29th March
between 7-8pm at the Kindergarten. If you require items to be collected please
phone Susan on 4882215 or Bryce 4883775 to arrange this.
Thank
you for supporting our Kindergarten Fundraising.
Proceeds are being used towards upgrading the outdoor play area.
